This question is asked in a song written by John Fischer and he answers it with his own queries.
“Have you ever stood at the ocean with the white foam at your feet; Felt the endless thundering motion, Then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.”
The ocean’s open our observations to God’s overwhelming power.
Psalm 89:8-9, 93:1-5, 95:1-5, 104:1-35, 107:23-25, 139:7-12
“Have you ever stood at the sunset with the sky mellowing red; Seen the clouds suspended like feathers, Then I say you have seen Jesus my Lord.”
Seeing the spectacular splendor of the heavenly lights shows us God’s supernatural ability.
Psalm 19:1-6, 50:1-2, 136:1-9, 145:1-21, 148:1-6
“Have you ever stood at the cross with the Man hanging in pain; Seen the look of love in His eyes, then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.”
There were those who, “Derided, Mocked, and Reviled” Him. But “The centurion and those who were with him, keeping WATCH over Jesus, SAW the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “TRULY THIS WAS THE SON OF GOD.”
Matthew 27:39-54; Mark 15:39
One of the criminals who was crucified on the same day Jersus was “Railed at Him.” But the other rebuked him saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong. And he said, “Jesus remember me when you come into Your kingdom.” And He said to him, “TRULY, I SAY TO YOUM, TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE.” Luke 23:39-43
Jesus’ mother and her sister saw Him hung on the cross along with other women and the disciple whom He loved. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus came out of hiding and lovingly provided a burial place for His body. John 19:25-27, 38-42
It is sad to think about the majority who callously reject what Jesus did for them on the cross. But it is a joy to think of those who look upon the cross and come to understand that Jesus went through all of this horror on their behalf so they could be saved.
“Have you ever stood in the family with the Lord there in your midst; Seen the face of Christ in your brother, Then I say you’ve seen Jesus my Lord.”
Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I among them.”Matthew 18:20
He also said, “By this all people will, know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
When believers are bound together in the name of Jesus we reveal that we are the body, bride, church, household and kingdom of God.
