Our hunt continues as we focus on finding the fullness of Jesus. So far we have discovered that He was involved with God’s plan before the world began for “He was foreknown before the foundation of the world.” 1 Peter 1:20
We have also discovered that He wasn’t only present at the beginning of creation He is the one who created everything. John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16
Just think about how so many are short sighted when it comes to really seeing Jesus! Sadly this has occurred because far too many only know Him from when He became flesh and they fail to understand that He has always existed.
There are even those who advocate that Jesus is a created being and not the One who created everything. Just think of how this limits Jesus and what He is able to do for us! I am so glad that I have discovered that Jesus is my creator and I hope the lessons that I have been sharing about Him have helped you to see Him in His a fullness.
Just think of Him being the “Word of God” and speaking everything into existence. WOW! “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.” Psalm 33:6
“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God…” Hebrews 11:3
“The heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the Word of God…” 2 Peter 3:5
This “Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” John 1:14
This is speaking about the One we call JESUS! John 1:15-18
Those who fail to recognize this really limit Jesus and what He is able to do. I am so happy that I have found that Jesus is who the Bible says He is because it has enabled me to know that He can do all things for me and not only for me but for everyone who truly comes to know Him.
The beautiful thing about truly knowing His full identity is the confidence it brings when we face the devil’s temptations.
Just think about it. People who don’t know the fullness of Jesus will run and hide from God like Adam and Eve when the devil draws them into sin. But when you know Jesus and His power you know you can overcome the devil through Him! Because Jesus is the One who gave the old serpent a blow that he will never recover from. Genesis 3:15
Jesus entered the devil’s domain and being so superior in strength He conquered him because He is the creator not the created like the devil. Matthew 12:29
When I think of all those throughout the Scriptures that confirm His power to protect and provide for them I have absolute confidence that He will do the same for all of us who know Him and trust Him as they did.
Just think about it and take a little time to write your own journal on the way that Jesus has helped you to know that He truly is your creator and God.
