THE FIRST REVELATION IS SEEN WITH YOUR EYES!
Psalm 19:1-6 David informs us that “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky proclaims His handiwork. Day unto day pours out speech, and night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.”
Acts 14:17 Luke informs us that God did not leave Himself without “Witness, for He did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
Romans 1:19-20 Paul informs us that “What can be known about God is plain to mankind, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.”
THE SECOND REVELATION IS HEARD WITH OUR EARS!
As amazing as creation is it cannot tell us God’s will. We cannot know the specifics of God’s eternal plan for us by only observing the created realm. We can be awed by what we see but to know the true identity behind the source that made all things we must turn to further information and God has provided that through His word.
Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible and its entire focus in the word of God.
Romans 10:17 Paul informs us that “Faith come by hearing, and hearing through the word of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:11-13 Paul informs us that “No one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. He continues to inform us that “We have received not the spirit the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit…”
2 Timothy 4:1-2 Paul instructs preachers to “Preach the word…”
2 Peter 1:21 Peter informs us that “Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
