Are you a bargain shopper, can you spot a good deal when you see it or are you a penny pincher who just window shops and when you do go to purchase you get and leave?
What about your salesmanship skills are you a person who can sell “Rice to people in India”
Or would you struggle selling anyone anything?
I am reminded of two salesmen who were sent to Africa to sell shoes. The first went and having no success wrote the company saying, “Get me home I can’t sell a thing here because these people don’t wear shoes!” The second man went and having great success sent a letter to the company stating “Send me all the shoes you can because these people don’t have any!”
What made the difference? The three A’s—Ability, Attitude and Awareness!
Let’s consider our Prominent Bible Chapter Numbers 13.
In this passage we learn how Moses sent twelve spies into the Promise Land to search it and bring back a report. They were Shammua, Shaphat, Caleb, Igal, Hoshea (Joshua), Palti, Gaddiel, Gaddi, Ammiel, Sethur, Nahbi, and Geul. They all went to the Promise Land but only two returned with a favorable report, do you remember their names? Why was it that they were the only ones who saw the great possibilities that were in the Promise Land?
The difference was the three A’s—Ability, Attitude and Awareness!
They all saw that the land “Flows with milk and honey” But the ten failed to believe in their Ability and their Attitude blinded there Awareness of the great opportunity that God had prepared for them. On the other hand the two believed in their Ability and because their Attitude lifted them to a level of Awareness to see that God had prepared this Promised Land!
In what category do you find yourself? Is your Ability suppressed because your Attitude restricts your Awareness to see all the possibilities that God has provided for you like the ten or do you believe in your Ability because your Attitude motivates you to have the Awareness that nothing limits you when God is with you like the two.
Consider the outcome of the two categories. The ten who lacked the three A’s—Ability, Attitude and Awareness discouraged not only themselves but those who listened to them and they perished in the wilderness wandering and wasting their lives, But the two who possessed the three A’s—Ability, Attitude and Awareness did everything to encourage others about the possibilities before them and in time they entered the Promise Land.
Let’s do our best to emulate those who had the three A’s—Ability, Attitude and Awareness by believing and trusting in God’s power to fulfill His promises. 2 Peter 3:9
