WHAT MOTIVATION IS THERE FOR BEING A CHRISTIAN?
Christ! He enables us to be “More than conquerors.” Romans 8:35-37… He is the “High priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses…” Hebrews 4:14-16… He “Reconciled” us back to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 … He “Lives to make intercession for us.” Hebrews 7:25 He is the “The head of the church, His body, and is Himself it’s Savior.” Ephesians 5:23 … He “Always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.” 2 Corinthians 2:14
Heaven! If you’re not going there where are you going? If you, “Lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven” they will last. Matthew 6:19-21… When we experience life’s struggles we will find comfort when we focus on our “House not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
2 Corinthians 4:16-5:7
Reward! Some seem to shy away from the idea of being rewarded but Jesus makes it very clear that when we live our lives according to His will we will be rewarded. So let us “Rejoice and be glad for our reward is great in heaven…” Matthew 5:11-12… Let us find encouragement knowing that God will reward the faithful openly. Matthew 6:1-4, 5-6, 16-18, 16:24-27
Inheritance! The Bible makes it very clear that every faithful follower of Christ will receive their “Inheritance.” Ephesians 1:11-23; Colossians 1:11-14, 3:24; Hebrews 9:11-28; 1 Peter 1:3-5
Salvation! Without the cleansing of the blood of Christ we are merely “Dead men walking” and we are headed to a devils hell. The outcome is far different for every faithful Christian for we have hope and we wear “The helmet of Salvation.” Ephesians 6:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:8
Thankfulness! When we have something to live for we can, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Imperishable crowns! “Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27… If this life is all that we have we are most miserable, but with Christ we know our, “Our labor is not in vain.”
