WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN?

For me, being a Christian means I am CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:18-20

For me, being a Christian means that I have HOPE because I am CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:5-10

For me, being a Christian means I have something to REJOICE about because of the HOPE that I have because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Acts 8:36-39; Philippians 4:4

For me, being a Christian means that I have IDENTITY for God has made me one of His children and heirs and that causes me to REJOICE because I have this HOPE because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:27-29

For me, being a Christian means I am SANCTIFIED. Now there is a word we don’t hear a lot about. It means, “To be set apart as or declare holy, consecrate, to make legitimate or binding by religious sanction.” It is this IDENTITY that causes me to REJOICE in the HOPE that I have because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

For me, being a Christian means that I can TRUST the One who SANCTIFIED me and gave me the IDENTITY that I REJOICE about because I have HOPE because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 12:2; Hebrews 2:10-13

For me, being a Christian means I am INCLUDED as a member of God’s household and I can TRUST this for He is the One who SANCTIFIED me and gave me my IDENTITY as One of the members which causes me to REJOICE and have HOPE because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:36-41; 1 Corinthians 12:13-27

For me, being a Christian means I have ASSURANCE because I am INCLUDED as one the  members of  God’s household and I TRUST it because He has SANCTIFIED me and has given me IDENTITY that I REJOICE over and have HOPE in because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:19-25

For me, being a Christian means I have been made NEW and even though I may not be the man I ought to be thank God I am not the man I use to be and this gives me great ASSURANCE knowing that God has INCLUDED me into His household and I TRUST in this because He SANCTIFIED me and blessed me with my IDENTITY as one of His children which causes me to REJOICE in the HOPE that I have because I have been CLEANSED of my sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
