HONORING OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is heaven.” Matthew 5:45

“When you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who sees in secret.” Matthew 6:6

“Pray then “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” Matthew 6:9

“Call no man your father (Religiously) on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9

“Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

“Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who, is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25

“Worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.” John 4:24

“If anyone serves (Jesus), the Father will honor him.” John 12:26

“Whoever has (Jesus’) commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves (Jesus).  And he who loves (Jesus) will be loved by (Jesus’) Father…” John 14:21    

“If anyone loves (Jesus), he will keep (Jesus’) word, and (Jesus) Father will love him…”

John 14:23   

“By this (Jesus’) Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be (Jesus) disciples.” John 15:8

“Walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

“Cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15

“With one voice glorify God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6

“For us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and from whom all things exist…” 1 Corinthians 8:6

”Comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4

“I bow my knees before the Father…” Ephesians 3:14

Give, “Thanks always and for everything to God the Father…” Ephesians 5:20

“Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:11

“Always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…” Colossians 1:3

Give, “Thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints of light.” Colossians 1:12

“Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep one’s self unstained from the world.” James 1:27

 

From these Bible verses we can learn a lot about honoring our heavenly Father but the real challenge is putting it into practice. Let’s all do our best to examine these verses and then determine to do all we can to truly honor our Father in heaven as we obtain VISION 2020!
