OUR SAVIOR BENT DOWN TO SERVE US!

“The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

“Who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I (Jesus) am among you as the One who serves.” Luke 22:27

 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” John 1:1&14

“No one has ascended into heaven except He who descended from heaven…” John 3:13

“In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that He had also descended into the lower regions of the earth? He who descended is the One who also ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.” Ephesians 4:9-10

“Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8

 “We see Him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.” Hebrews 2:9

“We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

“In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to Him who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. Although He was a son, He learned obedience through what He suffered.” Hebrews 5:7-8   

In summary: Jehovah God emptied Himself of His position and power to become Jesus our loving savior. Our Lord became a servant so we could become pristine through Him.
