Don’s Delivery: BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES

This will be the focus of our vacation Bible school in just four
weeks. The abbreviated title for our vacation Bible school is B.A.D.
and it stands for Biblical Archaeological Discoveries. That’s what we
will be investigating throughout our vacation Bible school starting
Sunday, June 10 thru Wednesday, June 13.

Don’t confuse archaeology with paleontology. Archaeology is not about
digging up bones and designing dinosaurs. Archaeology is concerned
with all phases of man’s activity in the past, and it investigates the
varied aspects of human endeavors by excavating ancient burial cities,
and examining the houses, implements, and other artifacts, by
deciphering inscriptions, and by evaluating the language, literature,
monuments, arts, architecture, and other components of human life and
achievements.

Biblical Archaeology Discovers the truth of the Bible. It furnishes a
fuller understanding of the Bible.

Every phase of ancient life is illuminated by archaeological
discoveries! Throughout our vacation bible school we will do our best
to examine some of the various elements of archaeology and present to
our students lessons that reinforce and support the Holy Scriptures.

The areas that we will be addressing in our vacation Bible school
lessons will focus on Architecture, Artifacts, Attire, Coins,
Inscriptions, Jewelry, Monuments, Pottery, Tools, and etc.

You can help out by finding old stuff around your home that the
teachers can borrow and use to illustrate archaeological finds. You
can bring things like Books, Clothes, Dishes, Engravings, Jewelry,
Pictures, Posters, and etc. Our son Jason has an arrowhead that is
1,000 years old. So help us do some digging. Seriously, go dig in the
dirt and see what you discover. Who knows you might find some ancient
treasure that has been hidden away just for you to find.

Have fun digging and preparing for our vacation Bible school because
it is going to be B.A.D.
