Don’s Delivery: MOTHER
They are accountants, bakers, chauffeurs, decorators, educators,
florist, gardeners, humorists, ironers, jugglers, lifeguards,
matchmakers, nurses, operators, psychiatrists, questioners,
receptionists, substitutes, travelers, umpires, visionaries,
weather-reporters, eXaminers, yam makers, zoologists or to use their
generic name–MOTHER!
A second grade teacher asked her class, “Can anyone tell me why we
observe Mother’s Day?” “Yes”, one youngster explained, “That’s the day
when we forgive our mothers for what they do to us the rest of the
year!”
A Jewish proverb said, “The best fork is mother’s hand.”
Motherhood proves that evolution is merely a theory because if it were
a fact mothers would have more than two hands and they would have eyes
in the back of their heads.
Motherhood is very demanding that’s why it requires the best of the best.
God created Motherhood. Adam was alone and he needed a helpmeet, but
no ordinary creature would do. The companion for Adam and mother of
all his descendants had to be someone very special, but she also had
to be very real. She had to be one who would be respected and
respectful. She had to be someone who could be loved because she would
love. She had to be a combination of many things as the list above
describes, but the most important element of her being a mother must
be her willingness to live so her children would call her “MOM.”
Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit the wise Solomon wrote,
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he
praises her: Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a women who fears the
Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And
let her own works praise her in the gates.” Proverbs 31:29-31
