Don’s Delivery: “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53.
With today being April first or as so may call it “FOOLS DAY!” And
with many thinking it is Easter and considering the resurrection of
Jesus I thought it would be beneficial to share some facts that prove
the resurrection of Jesus.
PROOFS OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION
*The empty tomb. Luke 24:3, John 20:4-8
The soul and body of Jesus did not remain in the tomb because it could
not hold Him as predicted. Psalm 16:8-11; Acts 2:29-32
*The witnesses. Mary Magdalene and the other women with her saw Him
after He had resurrected. Matthew 28:1, 5-8 The guards who were
stationed at His tomb to watch it knew He had risen but they were paid
to lie. Matthew 28:2-4, 11-15 It’s hard to imagine how despicable
people can be but far to many are willing to accept the lie instead of
accepting the truth. The two travelers saw Him after His resurrection
and they believed. Luke 24:13-35 All the apostles, with the exception
of Thomas saw Him after His resurrection. Luke 24:36-43 In a short
time He appeared again and Thomas saw Him. He was even shown the scars
in His hands, feet and side and he fell to the ground and he confessed
Jesus as his Lord and God. John 20:24-28 “Jesus said to him, “Thomas,
because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who
have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29 Multitudes have come
to believe without literally seeing Jesus because of the testimonies
of those who have seen. The men selected to replace Judas in his
apostleship had seen Jesus after His resurrection. Acts 1:15-26 At one
point Jesus was seen after His resurrection, “By over five hundred
brethren at once…” 1 Corinthians 15:6 Jesus was seen after His
resurrection by His brother James. 1 Corinthians 15:7 Jesus was also
seen after Hid resurrection by Saul who we know better as the apostle
Paul. 1 Corinthians 15:8-11
*The preaching of Jesus and the scriptures attesting to His resurrection.
*The believers throughout all the centuries who have accepted the
resurrection of Jesus and the incredible evidence of how it changed
them!
