Sally was playing with her blocks and her mother paused for a moment
and used one G, two D’s, and three O’s to show her the message, DO
GOOD. After a while Sally took the same letters to spell, “GO DO!”
This is the message that Jesus has for all who will follow Him. He
wants us all to, “GO DO GOOD!”
Doing Good is definitely a huge part of doing the will of our heavenly
Father. Genesis 1:31 says, “And God saw everything that He had made,
and behold; it was very good.” That’s what God does and it makes
complete sense to think that God would want all His children to do
good. In Acts 10:38 it states that Jesus, the Son of God, “Went about
doing good…”
Doing Good is natural for God and the Son of God because they are
Good. Consider a few things the Psalmists says about God’s goodness.
“Good and upright is the Lord…” Psalm 25:8
God’s “Steadfast love is good…” Psalm 69:16
God is, “Good and forgiving…” Psalm 86:5
God is, “Good” in, “His faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:5
God, “Is good; for His steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 106:1,
107:1, 118:1, 29, 136:1
God teaches us, “Good judgment and knowledge…” Psalm 119:68
God instructs us to, “Turn away from evil and do good…” Psalm 34:14
God instructs us to, “Trust in the Lord, and do good…” Psalm 37:3, 27
God instructs us that He, “Will give what is good…” Psalm 85:12
God instructs us that, “It is good to give thanks…” Psalm 92:1
God instructs us that it is, “Good and pleasant…when brothers dwell
in unity.” Psalm 133:1
“The Lord is good to all…” Psalm 145:9
Have you discovered His goodness? If so “GO DO GOOD!”
